Darkdevil County Demo Version 2.0 Available It's been awhile, hasn't it? I'd completely forgotten I had this Livejournal account, so I may as well do some updating.
First, am still doing a lot of artwork, printmaking, etc., but the biggest news has been that I've been working on an adventure game.
I've always loved games, and have played them since I was little -- I made my first game at age 7 on the floor with blocks and Lincoln Logs, but wrote the rules in a notebook I found recently.
So, I hope people can help me work out the kinks in the game. It's developed entirely by me on Chris Jones's Adventure Game Studio ver. 3.1 and counting.
I have 2 mirrors available right now, tho will add more if necessary. I have a thread over at AGS where I've been tracking development, as well as on my regular www.freshpaint.blogspot.com blog.
So, here are the links:

Yet Another New Blog
I managed to get more than 500 inches completed in the last Art By the Inch challenge, mostly through doing little conceptual slices of Lake Michigan -- sky, water, beach, done from notebook descriptions as detailed as I could make them. I've collected them from where they landed all around the internet in one place, where you can see them all side-by-side, as several people have said they wanted. So check out my new blog, The Lake Project: http://www.freshpaint-lake-project.blogspot.comI continue to post stuff at the main blog, Fresh Paint: http://www.freshpaint.blogspot.comCheers! | | Friday, November 5th, 2004 | | 12:56 pm |
I'm back
Back to the art world from the world of politics, swimming across the ocean of tears. I worked very hard for the John Kerry campaign, and spent the last week 300 miles away canvassing in neighborhoods I'd never been in before, and it worked. Kerry won Wisconsin. I wish I could have cloned myself, and cloned all the other other volunteers, and the great people in Wisconsin as well, but I couldn't. But time progresses. As MLK says, "Let us realize the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." So will try to get back into art very soon, possibly with Art By the Inch. But you can always find me at home at Fresh Paint. | | Thursday, May 20th, 2004 | | 7:36 am |
Where Am I?
I'm not usually here... I'm usually messing up the Artbytheinch community or at my blog: Fresh PaintSee ya! UPDATE: Here I am again. For the month of July you can find me at my blog or at the Art a Day site: An Art A DayI will be working with Franz Kline as a study challenge, since his work is so very different than mine. I will be using some of his working methods (pen and ink, collage, oil on masonite, etc.) and also "mocking" techniques used by artists such as Pat Steir (whose work I adore). This should keep me busy. So here's my first drawing, not very good, and too heavy-handed. Looks like an album cover to me! UPDATE: I've started a new blog just for the Kline stuff. Check it out: Projects: Franz Kline |
